Gavurdagi Salad Recipe

A delicious salad which takes the name from a mountain in Turkey.
It is great accompany especially for kebab and meat dishes.

Ingredients

3 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
1/4 cup walnut, crushed
2 tb spoon olive oil
1 tb spoon pomegranate paste
2 tb spoon lemon juice
1 tb spoon cayenne pepper, crushed
1 tb sp sumac
salt

Rub onion with salt and sumac, mix with other ingredients except walnut, place in a plate, sprinkle walnuts all over.

What a beautiful side dish, Yesim! It looks delicious. Until recently, I had no idea that you could eat sumac. I thought it was some sort of poisonous plant. I need to get my hands on some of it and give it a try. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes!

really??? we use sumac a lot especially in our salads..
