Banana Roll Cake

Thursday, November 25, 2010

I found this recipe at Food in Life. It is my first trial to make a cake. Was i succesfull?? Honestly the taste was good but the apperance not really.. I dont like so much about sweet, dessert, cakes etc. ; maybe that is why i am not succesful at this kinda things, but i believe i will be better. I brought the cake at the bank today for my colleagues to taste, and everybody seems happy; i dont know if they really liked or just to be nice , but they really seemed happy. Here is the proof :)

Ingredients

6 eggs
6 tablespoon sugar
1 cup all purpose flour (200 gr)
2 teaspoon baking powder
For inside
I put 1 banana but you can use any fruit you like or marmalade.
Cake Cream with vanilin
1 cup of milk for Cake cream

Seperate the egg whites and yolks in 2 deep bowl. Add 3 table spoon sugar in each bowl. Beat egg whites until stiff. On the other hand beat egg yolks. Add flour and baking powder into egg yolks and mix lightly, after while you are mixing slowly add the whites..

After it get ready , lie it into rectangle tray and cook for 10 min with 180 °C. After the cake is ready, get into a towel, roll it and let it cool. For inside i choosed Dr Oetker Cake Cream with vanilin, with 1 cup of milk, mix it till it get to cream.

Open your cake and lie some cream inside and sliced banana, roll it .
It is ready to serve..

Bon appetit..
